OUR WHY
Over the past ten years, more women of color represent communities than ever before. Their mere presence has not only changed the composition of state legislatures, municipal and local governments but has forever changed the political conversation, thereby creating the need to reshape influence.
For the most part, this change went unnoticed, leaving very little information about these women or the issues that arose because of their presence. Issues of racial identity, social determinants of health, gender equity, pay equity and inclusion have elevated in importance on agendas across the country.
OUR MISSION
Women of Color in Politics Reshaping Influence exists to unravel the complexities of political trends and diverse perspectives, with the ultimate goal of influencing political climates.
